Amritsar, Sanjhi Soch Beauro \u2013<\/strong>As the Punjab government has decided to reopen all government, semi-government and private schools from January 7 for the students from Classes V to XII to attend physical classes across the State, nearly fifty percent presence of students were noted today.<\/p>\n

District Education officer, Satinderbir Singh said, today it was first day, most of the parents and students were not aware of about the orders of reopening of schools across the Punjab and after reading the newspapers and seeing TV will come to know.<\/p>\n

He said in the coming day or two the strength of students in the schools to be increased, but all have to follow the COVID 19 rules issued by the ministry of health. He said all the students in the district attending the schoolS with the due consent of their parents were provided face masks and sanitizers for hand sanitization.<\/p>\n

He said that students of 9th\u00a0standard onwards upto 12th\u00a0standard were already attending the schools for three hours with the due\u00a0\u00a0consent of their parents. Now today onwards time would be from 10.a.m to 3.00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Principal Government Senior Secondary School of Girls Putlighar, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur said that as per pre scheduled program, today January 7 and 8th were fixed for Parents Teachers (PTI) meet in the all the Government schools in the State, so presently PT meet was going on for better<\/p>\n

communication between teachers and parents to create study atmosphere at home to facilitate the students for online classes.
\nShe further said the main motive behind the parentS teachers meeting in the school to discuss the strategy of annual exams so that students could study better in order to obtain good marks in the final examination for higher study.<\/p>\n

Adding further she said during ongoing PT meet parents were discussed about shortcoming appeared during the PAS (Punjab Achievement Survey) tests which were online tests so that parents could help their children to bring more improvement in final exams.
