Sanjhi Soch buero : Inter-College and Inter- School poster making competition was held on 2 feb ,2021 organised by the Department of Mathematics, Khalsa College, Patiala sponsored by DBT-Govt. of India under star college scheme. The chief guest for the event was Dr. Naveen Gulati(Head and associate prof) S.Dcollege, Ambala. 18 teams from schools in Patiala District and 10 teams from colleges from Punjab & Haryana participated in it. The topics for this event were:<\/p>\n

  1. life history and findings of mathematics<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2.chronology history<\/p>\n

    3.geographical history of mathematics<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. usage of mathematics in daily life.<\/li>\n
    2. relationship of mathematics with other sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      A large number of students came up with unique and creative ideas and concepts on Mathematics. They made unique and creative posters. The judges for this event were Dr.NisuJain(Govt. Mohindracollege, Patiala) Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur (B.I.P.S,Patiala) Mr. SatvirSingh Gill (Govt Sen. Sec .school, Punjabi university, Patiala)<\/p>\n

      In Interschool competitions,sen. Sec. school Punjabi university, patiala, DAV patiala\u00a0 and BDPS , Patiala and in\u00a0 Inter-college competitions, \u00a0S.D.college, Ambala , Govt. Mohindra college and khalsa College Patiala got First, second and third prize respectively.<\/p>\n

      Two consolation prizes in each level also provided to the students<\/p>\n

      Principal Dr.Dharminder Singh Ubha blessed and motivated the students to think with more practical ideas and\u00a0 distributed prizes to all the winners and wished them good luck for the future.<\/p>\n

      Dr Gurmeet Singh (H.O.D and vice principal, Khalsa college , Patiala) welcomed all the participants and teachers. He also delivered a lecture on \u201c Mind, brain and education\u201dand motivated the students to think more critically.<\/p>\n

      Dr. Bharat Goyal conducted the stage. Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Prof. Rashi Bansal, Dr.Parampreet Kaur, Prof. Narinder Kaur, Prof. Gurwinder Kaur, Dr.AmanpreetSingh , Prof. Amit Kumar, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur, Prof. Sukhjeet Kaur made the efforts to organize the event.<\/p>\n

      Prof. Namrata (star college, co-ordinator) presented a vote of thanks.<\/p>\n
