FLS distributes High Visibility Reflective Belts to reduce road accidents

Ferozepur, Sanjhi Soch Beauro –  With an aim to reduce road accidents, Ferozepur Langar Sewa –FLS, a leading NGO of the city – apart from regular Langar Sewa, has started adding feathers to its cap by involving itself in some other social activities and on the New Year eve, considering the foggy weather distributed High Visibility Reflective Belts.

Pawan Bansal, Jimmy kakkar , Vishal Sethi, Harsh Arora , Gurpreet Dhillon , Rishu Chawla were specially present on this occasion.

Ferozepur Langar Sewa has done a commendable job during the Corona pandemic Lockdown period by distributing Langar to the poor and needy people in the slump areas.  FLS from volunteer contributions were especially concerned for the daily wagers, who were helpless due to curfew and lockdown period and has been appreciated by one and all and the district administration as well.

Founder Member Babla said, Now with the start of foggy weather, the movement of people on cycles, rehriwals, roadside workers cannot be avoided but taking care of their safety is the responsibility of the society also. So, our members, instead of going to hotels or parties,  decided to celebrate New Year eve on the roadside by distributing the High Visibility Reflective Belts to such class to avoid any road accidents.

The risk of mishaps increases; it becomes difficult for the driver to spot any animal, vehicles while traveling on roads and the use of HVR Belts increases safety. We have the target of distributing around 500 HVR Belts and 100 were distributed on the first day, adding he said, the rest will also bedistributed within two-three days, he said.

He also urged the walkers to wear high visibility clothes and carrying a torch would also offer added protection besides a road safety mantra, to drivers to drive in a safe manner in the queue and at a distance.
