Uddhav Thackeray Pays Tributes to Subhas Chandra Bose on Birth Anniversary

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday paid homage to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary. Thackeray paid floral tributes to the founder of the Indian National Army at ‘Matoshree’, his private residence in suburban Bandra here. State Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said Netaji’s heroic acts are always an inspiration to Indians. “Gandhiji’s and Bose’s ideals for freedom were two sides of the same coin,” he said in a statement.

Union Home Minister Pays Tribute To Subhash Chandra Bose

Paying tributes on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the courage and valor of Netaji gave new strength to the Indian freedom struggle. “The entire nation will always be indebted to Netaji for his valor and continuous struggle. PM Narendra Modi has paid an unprecedented tribute to him by celebrating his birth anniversary as ‘Parakram Divas’. I wish all the countrymen on the Parakram Divas,” Amit Shah said in a tweet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary on Saturday and said a grateful nation will always remember his sacrifice and dedication for its independence. Modi will be in West Bengal on Saturday to address “Parakram Diwas” celebrations in Kolkata to commemorate Bose’s birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will land in Assam today to distribute land allotment certificates under a state government programme to 1 lakh beneficiaries.

PM will then fly to Kolkata to inaugurate a permanent museum dedicated to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on the freedom fighter’s 125th birth anniversary.

In West Bengal, the prime minister will take part in the celebrations of the 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, while he will distribute land rights to the indigenous people in Assam on the same day.

While the BJP will be seeking to retain power in Assam, the saffron outfit is building up a campaign in West Bengal to wrest power from the ruling Trinamool Congress.

In West Bengal, the BJP and the ruling Trinamool Congress are engaged in a tussle over the celebrations of Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary. While Banerjee will lead a 6-km march in Kolkata, from Shyambazar in the north to Red Road in the heart of the city, PM Modi will preside over the inauguration of a permanent exhibition on Subhas Chandra Bose at the Victoria Memorial.

Renewed land policyIn Assam, the PM will distribute 1.06 lakh land pattas in Sivasagar. “Taking into account an urgent need to protect the land rights of indigenous people Government of Assam came out with a new land policy with renewed emphasis on protecting their land rights. The issuance of patta for indigenous people of Assam has been given the highest priority in order to instill a sense of security amongst them,” said the PMO in the statement
