Chandigarh, Sanjhi Soch Beauro – Member of Parliament (MP) Dushyant Gautam paid obeisance at Historical Gurdwara Nadha Sahib on Tuesday. Interacting with media, BJP party affairs incharge in Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand Gautam said that he prayed for peace and prosperity in the country and welfare of farmers.

BJP Chandigarh State Secretary Tejinder Singh Saran, who was present on the occasion, said that the farmers had come to Gurdwara Sahib in the New Year with a new hope of resolving the issue so that their problems could be resolved in the bitter cold.

“It was becoming very difficult for the farmers to live like this under the open sky and after the rains. They are busy taking care of the elderly and in the cold and rain, the families are now worried about their elders,” Tejinder said.

“So far eight meetings have been held with the farmers ‘organizations and representatives and the government regarding the farmers’ movement, which was in a positive phase. Therefore, we hope that as soon as possible, the government will announce the demands of the farmers,” he added.
